Fall Festival 2013

fall festivalDowntown Saratoga came alive last Saturday for the 12th Annual Fall Festival!  Donned with costumes, kids and adults alike participated in the 2013 Fall Festival.  They tried their luck on a rock wall, indulged in delicious treats, creeped through a haunted house, played corn hole and so much MORE!! The opening Ceremony began at 10:00 at the Farmers market and from there people went all up and down Broadway.

Fingerpaint Marketing and The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children  were making children’s photo ID’s.  The MINE hosted a haunted palace and several businesses hosted facepainters.  Participants even got to make their very own pumpkin pancakes at the Saratoga Olive Oil Company.  Kilwins hosted bobbing for apples and Gaffneys hosted a pumpkin painting.  At Impressions we decided to all dress like farm animals.   It was such a fun day and we loved seeing all the creative costumes on both dogs and humans. This year’s Fall Festival was HUGE thanks to our own Maddy, Chairperson of the event and her terrific committee and volunteers! Check out our Facebook page for more pictures and be sure to participate in next years 13th (ominous…) annual Fall Festival on October 25th! cornhole

Impressions built a new corn hole game this year!  Mare’s talented brother Hans built the game and Mare creatively painted the features.  We had kids test their skills by throwing bean bags into the holes in the center of the flower.  Boy, there were definitely some athletes this year!  We gave out over 1,500 prizes to our ghoulish, creative and just plain cute costumed participants .

The dynamic duo of Dave Patterson and Charlie Kuenzel (retired Saratoga School teachers for those of you who think they sound familiar) were out in front of Impressions autographing their new book!  The pair host history tours in & around Saratoga and now have a book to go along with it.  “Take A Walk Back In Time with Dave and Charlie” describes some of the various sites you will see along a tour.  It provides the history of some of Saratoga’s greatest places and is for sale on our website and in the store. Keep an eye out for their 2014 calendar featuring now and then photo’s of Saratoga! Great Holiday gift idea!!!

We hope to see you at next years event!
