Another racing season has come to an end here in Saratoga Springs, it feels like it just started! The six weeks of racing flies by... and it seems faster every year. This year was the Saratoga 150 Celebration that is starting to wrap up this month. We had a great time with it and we hope all of the people who cam here to celebrate it did too. We are still offering our Official 150 Merchandise for those who are looking for holiday gifts and Saratoga Memorabilia.Jazz fest We thought it would be fun to just share a little recap of this summer and some of the great events that we participated in. The summer usually feels official with the Jazz Festival at SPAC, our favorite part is watching everyone run in to claim their spots when the gates open! After Jazz came the New York City Ballet, we were there for each show with Saratoga Ballet and NYCB Merchandise, though the season was only one week this year everyone enjoyed themselves! At the store we had all kinds of new products both for the 150 and for Saratoga itself. We introduced the new "Saratoga Dipper" for those interested in trying all of the spring water that made us famous before the horses came to town. The little wooden cups come with a souvenir bookmark that lists all of the spring locations and a little info about each one. The Floral Fete was a huge success and probably the most well attended of all the 150 events. There were so many smiling faces and the flowers were beautiful. Our facebook page has a ton of pictures! We also were excited to win second place in the Saratoga 150 Window Decorating Contest! We got to enjoy a great day at the race track in a box seat! Impressions Window We had a great time seeing all of our return customers like the Manley family from Kentucky who comes in every summer to see us! As well as many new faces who we hope to see again next year. We also had many locals out and about walking their puppies and... pigs! Yep that's right! Saratoga Sweets owner Mike has two pigs Charlie & Clyde who stopped in to visit us a few times! We were very excited to see one of our regular costumer's granddaughters in the paper just yesterday after shopping here! Check out that article in the Saratogian!
