Celebrate a Saratoga Legacy with the 2025 Holiday Ornament
The 2025 holiday ornament—the thirtieth in the collectible series—honors the original Saratoga Hospital building, first opened for public inspection on December 27, 1912. This beautifully detailed design pays tribute to the Hospital’s earliest days, when the new brick building on Church Street stood as a symbol of innovation and compassionate care for our community.
Inside its walls, visitors discovered modern x-ray facilities, men’s and women’s wards, private rooms, and the beloved maternity ward gifted by The Flower & Fruit Mission of Saratoga Hospital. Its opening spurred remarkable growth: within just a few years, services expanded to include psychiatry, neurology, gynecology, pediatrics, dental surgery, and a modern x-ray department led by Dr. Earl H. King—one of the earliest practitioners of Roentgenology in New York State.
This year’s ornament celebrates not just a building, but the foundation of the Hospital we know today.
