Description

Annie Marchese has been volunteering at DER for many years and originally started during her sophomore year of high school. She fell in love with the rescue’s mission and the work we do. A few years later, Annie adopted her first rescue horse from DER, a beautiful buckskin mare named Buttercup. After high school, Annie studied Equine Science at SUNY Morrisville College in New York. She completed her summer internship at DER by helping with the care of the horses, shadowing our trainer and working with a few of the rescue horses. As part of her internship, she also created the beautiful coloring and activity pages in this Activity Book, combining her passion for horses with her talent for art!
